TGIMBOEJ: Blast From the Past

Way back when, I read about and signed up to receive TGIMBOEJ (The Great Internet Migratory Box Of Electronics Junk). In 2010 I was contacted by someone who was supposed to send me a box. The box never came and according to the tracking page it seems to have never left it’s last destination. Presumed lost forever. Now it’s 2016 and I get an email from Dave at robotroom.com asking if I’d like to receive TGIMBOEJ. Of course I would!

The box arrived from Dave on Jan 6, 2016 with plenty of goodies inside. Inside is a booklet containing the box history. It originated in Tennessee, went to California and took a long break in Illinois… for about 7 years. Dave has a good story about the box over on his blog. I wonder if he saw this recent article on Hackaday and it reminded him about the box. After contacting 3 people from the TGIMBOEJ Box Request page, I got a response from Pete and it’s now out of my hands. Hopefully Pete finds something useful in it, I know I did. Here’s what I removed & added:
